Snoop Dogg
Snoop Dogg is one of the most recognizable names in hip-hop. His laid-back style and distinctive voice made him a star after being discovered by rapper and producer Dr. Dre and incorporated into the group N.W.A in the late ’80s. During the first decade of the 21st century, he proved to be a masterful chameleon by fusing his pot-loving image into various genres and collaborations. His biggest hits as a lead artist during this period included “From tha Chuuuch to da Palace” and “Beautiful.” In addition to his solo efforts, Snoop has appeared on countless tracks for other rappers, R&B crooners and pop groups.
Snoop maintains his mainstream appeal, and he has never been afraid to embrace reggae, releasing his first all-reggae album Reincarnated under the moniker Snoop Lion in 2013. The next year, he collaborated with modern funksters Dam-Funk on the album 7 Days of Funk. He released the deluxe edition of his 2009 album Malice N Wonderland in a CD/DVD set called More Malice N Wonderland a year later.
Snoop has even expanded his brand to include a line of dog treats and a non-profit football league that he founded for young boys in impoverished areas. The Snoop Youth Football League goes into the toughest neighborhoods and assembles kids, ex-gangbangers and coaches to teach them about teamwork, self-respect and strict academic guidelines. He also hands out turkeys and other Thanksgiving essentials for the poor in his hometown of Long Beach.
Net Worth Of Snoop Dogg
With a career that spans more than two decades, Snoop has established himself as one of hip-hop’s most renowned artists and multifaceted entrepreneurs. The California-born rapper, born Cordozar Calvin Broadus, grew up in the streets and endured a tumultuous childhood full of drug charges and run-ins with the law. Snoop would eventually find solace through music and quickly became one of the most beloved acts in the rap world. Now, at the age of 51, Snoop is a household name and a multi-talented entertainer who boasts a net worth that stretches into the millions.
He’s also made quite the name for himself in the acting world, starring in numerous films and even producing a few. In addition, Snoop’s business ventures – which range from his own brand of wine to a cannabis lifestyle platform – have earned him an ample sum as well.
In terms of real estate, Snoop has plenty of property scattered around the country. He’s got a hefty mansion in Long Beach, CA, a Mediterranean-inspired estate in Claremont, and a luxurious pad in Miami Beach.
Snoop is also a dedicated philanthropist who works closely with Inglewood city officials to distribute thousands of turkeys every Thanksgiving. Considering his humble beginnings selling candy and newspapers, Snoop Dogg’s success is truly remarkable. With a massively stacked resume and an even more humongous net worth, it’s safe to say that Snoop Dogg is one of the most accomplished celebrities in history.
Snoop Dogg Wife (Shante Broadus)
Snoop may have shed his gangsta image in recent years, but his devotion to his wife and children has not diminished. The Long Beach native and his special lady Shante Broadus celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary on Wednesday (June 14). The power couple has a new meaning to “Nuthin’ but a G Thang,” as the pair are now proud grandparents!
Snoop has often given Shante props for sticking by him through the years as he rose to prominence in hip-hop. She’s been there by his side as he transformed into a rapper, actor, producer, and entrepreneur.
The two met in high school, where Snoop Dogg was known as Cordozar Calvin Broadus Jr. and was selling dime bags of weed. They got married in 1997 and have three children together: sons Corde and Cordell, and daughter Cori. Despite nearly divorcing in 2004, the couple renewed their vows and credit their longevity to their love for each other, as well as their strong bond with their kids.
They most recently stepped out as a glamorous family of four at the BET Awards in Los Angeles, with everyone looking great! They wore matching black dresses with shimmery embellishments and looked happy to celebrate their big day.
Snoop Dogg Cooks – Goon With the Spoon
In addition to being a rapper, boxing coach, and cannabis entrepreneur, Snoop is now an author. The “Gin and Juice” singer recently released a cookbook titled Goon with the Spoon that’s out now from Chronicle Books. While the book does include some recipes for marijuana-infused meals like “Biscuits with Tha Thickness Gravy,” and “Not Ya Mama’s Corn Muffins.”
It’s no secret that Snoop can cook — he co-hosted Martha Stewart and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party, and has appeared on a number of food-based celebrity cooking shows alongside his friends, including Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski and Rachael Ray. But the new cookbook is a big step up for Snoop in the kitchen. It’s a collection of 50 platinum recipes from his own kitchen.
From OG soul food cookbook staples like Baked Mac & Cheese and Fried Bologna Sandwiches with Chips to new takes on weeknight faves like Soft Flour Tacos and Easy Orange Chicken, Snoop’s recipes are both easy-to-follow and comforting. But the rapper also ups the ante with remixes on upper-echelon fare like Lobster Thermidor and Filet Mignon.
Snoop Dogg Wine
The rapper Snoop has taken over the food and drink world in a big way. He has collaborated with Dunkin’ Donuts, hosted a dinner party show with Martha Stewart and holds the Guinness record for the largest gin and juice ever made. Now he’s taking his influence to wine with a new collaboration with Australian wine brand 19 Crimes.
The wine is a blend of Petite Sirah, Zinfandel and Merlot that’s aged in American oak barrels. It’s soft and fruit-led with a touch of alcohol heat, which makes it perfect for drinking straight or paired with meaty dishes.
It has a very opaque dark purple color and aromas of very ripe mixed fruit accented with distinct American oak aromas of vanilla and smoke, resulting in a rich, complex and memorable nose. The palate is full and dense with strong black & blue fruit notes up front from the Petite Sirah and complemented by bright red, slightly candied fruit in the background from the Zinfandel. The darkly toasted oak ties it all together along with a satisfying, sweet finish.
19 Crimes Cali Red is a dry to off-dry wine. Its alcohol by volume (ABV) is 13.5%. ABV is the measurement of alcoholic strength in wine. The higher the ABV, the stronger the wine. The wine’s sweetness level is based on how much residual sugar the grapes had at harvest time and also how long they were in contact with the skins.
